| International Development System |
With the development of the global economy, the way of international cooperation in which developed countries support the socio-economic development of developing countries has changed drastically. In order to understand the reasons for policy formulation and the impact of policy implementation, it is essential to fully understand its historical transition. Therefore, this lecture focuses on the ideal state of development in developing countries, and covers 70 years from the time of government-led support activities after World War II to the time of cooperation between the current government and NGOs. Lectures will focus on the actual development philosophy, development theory, and development policy. We will focus on historical perspectives. We will also focus on the development from the economic development approach to the social development approach and development indicators. |
| Human Development |
In September 2015, the United Nations formulated the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (2030 Agenda), and UN member states agreed to transform into a society (SDGs) that leaves no one left behind. On the 2030 Agenda, there is a strong need to transform into a sustainable society, and improving good living (well-being) is an urgent issue. UNDP's Human Development Report, published in 1990, had a major impact on the idea of emphasizing well-being. Human development is already widely recognized in fields such as economics and sociology. However, the concept of human development is by no means uniform. Therefore, this lecture will focus on the idea and practice of human development. In the latter half of the lecture, we will introduce some practical cases and learn from various aspects about creating a sustainable society that emphasizes individual and collective well-being. |
| Basic Seminar |
The purpose is to fully accumulate the basic skills required for specialized seminar and graduation research. Utilizing literature and materials (books, dissertations, articles, videos) on poverty, multicultural coexistence, environment, well-being, etc. in modern society, cultivate the ability to grasp the contents of literature and materials, organize issues, and make presentations and discussions. |

In September 2015, the United Nations formulated the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and UN member states agreed to transform into a society (SDGs) that leaves no one left behind. Each country has set out to emphasize a sound-circular economy and a symbiotic society, and is seeking efforts to pass on such a society to future generations. In this process, we need to face the challenges of modern society, such as poverty, inequality, injustice and violence. It's a difficult task, but it's not something that can be left to the government and experts. Especially in the area where people live, it is necessary for the residents themselves to be interested in various problems in the area, to come up with ideas from the citizen's perspective and to take concrete actions to solve them. Therefore, we will learn about the 2030 Agenda (SDGs) and social issues that need to be overcome, and explore innovative practices from a citizen's perspective that may change them. |
| Graduation Research |
Based on the specialized seminar of the third graders, a research theme is selected, literature research and analysis are conducted, and the graduation thesis will be written. The seminar will be a place to report on the progress of each person, give advice from seminar members and faculty members, and consider improvement plans. |
