Abstract

Marine shrimp farming operations in Southeast Asia are still traditional and need to be improved in efficiency. In this paper, we first model a marine shrimp supply chain network, which consists of suppliers, farms, distribution centres, traders, and consumers. We also develop a mixed-integer linear programming under the push strategy framework in order to maximize the farmers profit. Through a sensitivity analysis, we examine how the increase in costs affects the profits. The computational results are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of a real case of smart marine shrimp farming.
